Prescription guide
SPH (sphere) is your short- or long-sightedness power. CYL (cylinder) and AXIS together correct astigmatism — AXIS is only meaningful when a CYL value is present. ADD is the extra reading power on a bifocal or progressive lens. PD (pupillary distance) is the distance between the centres of your pupils, used to centre the lenses correctly in the frame.
If your prescription uses unfamiliar terms or a layout you don't recognise, WhatsApp us a photo and our optometry team will read it for you.
